Mrs. Benton is excited to serve as the principal at Littleton High School, and she looks forward to the LHS students, staff, and families coming together in the culture and community that we all love so much.

Mrs. Benton’s path to LHS started years ago at Gateway High School in Aurora, where she told folks she would be back to teach and coach.  And sure enough after graduating from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, she started teaching language arts, sponsoring the school newspaper, and coaching basketball and soccer at Aurora Central High School. She moved to Heritage High School here in LPS, where she continued to teach and coach.  After earning her master's degree from the University of Phoenix in Education Administration and Supervision, she moved into roles as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director.  Then in 2008, she became a Lion coming to LHS as a language arts teacher.  While here at LHS, she has worn many hats, including assistant girls soccer coach, Instructional Coach, Athletic Director, and Assistant Principal for Instruction.

Mrs. Benton and her husband, Kevin, can often be seen attending LHS events.  As a family, they enjoy traveling, camping, and attending church events and activities.

Mr. Colias is a native of Palatine, Illinois, outside of Chicago.  He earned a BA from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and later his MAT from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Regis University in Denver.

Mr. Colias began his career in public education in 2000, teaching four years at a high school in the Chicago Public Schools.  Upon moving to Colorado in 2004, he landed at Littleton High School as an ELA/ELD teacher and Department Chair, where he remained for nine years.  During that time, he earned certification for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (which he still holds), and served in a variety of academic roles, including being active in launching PLCs at LHS.  One of his favorite experiences was chaperoning ELA students in a “Learn to Snowboard” program for several years. Leaving both the classroom and LHS in 2013, Chris has since served at several Denver Public high schools and middle schools as an instructional coach, dean, and assistant principal.  He returned to Littleton High School as Assistant Principal for Instruction in 2021.

A long time resident of Northwest Denver, Chris has a daughter, Ana, and a son, George, who each attends school in DPS.  When they have breaks from their athletic schedules, they sometimes accompany their dad on skiing, mountain biking, and fly-fishing trips.

The fall of 2022 will mark the start of Mr. Enzminger’s sixth year at LHS as Assistant Principal and Athletics Director. He is excited to get back to a full schedule of athletics and activities this year and seeing the Lions compete and succeed on and off the playing fields, courts, pool, and gym.  As Littleton residents and parents to three LPS student-athletes, Mr. Enzminger and his wife Kasey are extremely excited to be a part of the LHS team and community.
