Welcome

Littleton High School is a comprehensive suburban high school located south of Denver, Colorado. Littleton has a century-long tradition of excellence and community support. It is comprised of 1400 students in grades 9-12 who come from across the Denver Metropolitan area. We are proud to host many, many out-of-district students who choose Littleton High School for its excellent programs and warm, welcoming school climate.

Littleton High School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, where all students are enrolled in the IB "Middle Years Program" through tenth grade.  LHS offers the IB Diploma Program to eleventh and twelfth graders and regularly awards between forty and fifty diplomas each year.  All students can benefit from the STEM Program, and more than 200 are working to complete a graduation certificate at any one time.  A wide array of Advanced Placement courses is also available, as well as opportunities to enroll in "dual enrollment" courses which offer both high school and college credit.

All of our students are supported by a comprehensive four-year Seminar/Advisement Program, an English Language Acquisition Program, a Special Education Program, and a Gifted and Talented Program.

In 2017, LHS Opened Early High School, a unique full day program for accelerated students on the campus of Littleton High School, EHS can accept 60 students each year.

The Littleton High School staff is comprised of over 120 adults – teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff – dedicated to creating a world class school where students are encouraged to follow a path that allows them to “make a living, make a life, and make a difference.” Students follow a modified “alternating block schedule” which allows for in-depth learning during two 90-minute classes.

Students have access to 24 varsity sports and 33 clubs and activities. We take pride in being a school where students are able to participate in more than one sport and more than one activity at a time. Most of our coaches and activity sponsors teach in our building and all are mindful that students are interested in many pursuits. We seek to balance excellent results with opportunities for all.

Our students and staff are supported by several outstanding parent support groups, including PTO, Booster Club, IB Parent Organization, Encore (for support of the performing arts) and a School Accountability Committee.

The District of Littleton Public Schools includes the City of Littleton, portions of the City of Centennial, and adjacent unincorporated areas. Our community is comprised primarily of business and professional residents. The district student population is approximately 15,500, served by thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, two charter schools, and one alternative high school.
