STEM learning is not only exciting and interesting, and offers terrific career potential, but it’s also important to the continued advancement of our country and our society as a whole. Experts say that technological innovation accounted for almost half of U.S. economic growth over the past 50 years, and almost all of the 30 fastest-growing occupations in the next decade will require at least some background in STEM (changetheequation.org).
Studying these subjects in high school and beyond will give you the skills you need to take part in building the world of our future. An important part of the LHS Stem program is the development of each student’s complete high school plan which will provide extensive opportunity to explore options for post-secondary education and career choices.
