After carefully monitoring the forecast for extremely low temperatures in the early morning hours, the decision was made to have a two-hour delayed start for all LPS schools on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Our electives courses are designed to provide all students with the following learning opportunities:
Sixth Grade:
G/T Seminar: Every G/T student takes this class first or second quarter. Time is provided for G/T students to come together, share concerns, enliven passions, and surmount challenges as they navigate their first year of middle school. As students transition from fifth to sixth grade and elementary to middle school, Mrs. Hamill answers questions and facilitates activities which help students answer the question:

Literature Enrichment: Many G/T students are enrolled in this elective which expands their thinking around the genre of science fiction through art, poetry, short stories and novels. Technology is infused into the class activities and students use Google Maps to infer and track the characters' journeys.
Seventh and Eighth Grade:
