Education: I graduated from St. John's University with degrees in Biology and Natural Science and minors in Chemistry and Education. I completed a Master's degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. I furthered my education and earned a 6th Year/Specialist degree in Leadership and Administration from St. Cloud State University.
Bio: I grew up in West-Central Minnesota. The values of education and hard work were instilled in me from early on in my life with the guidance of my parents. I graduated from New London-Spicer High School and I was the first in my family to attend and graduate from college. Upon graduating from college, I became a Science teacher and Tennis coach. After 10 years in the classroom, and 13 on the court, I expanded my role and became a Principal in Morris, MN. I came to LPS in 2007 as an Assistant Principal at Heritage High School, and have been the Principal here at Powell since 2009.

Education: I graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a Bachelor’s in Education with degrees in Elementary (K-8) and Special Education. I received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Instructional Technology from Peru State College. I completed my Principal Licensure certificate program through the University of Phoenix.
Bio: I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and I am a huge Husker fan! I taught Special Education and 2nd grade for 6 years for Omaha Public Schools before moving to Colorado in 2007. I have spent the last 10 years in Douglas County as a classroom teacher and as a Professional Learning Specialist. I have been fortunate enough to wear many hats over the past few years as the Gifted and Talented Facilitator, School Assessment Coordinator, and Read Act Coordinator. In my spare time, I love attending and watching sporting events. I also enjoy camping, fishing, and attending concerts with friends.

Education: I received my Master's Degree from the University of Phoenix; I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming.
Bio: Lawrence Chavers comes to Powell, after serving five (5) years as an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Sierra Middle School, in the Douglas County School District. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Principal (1 year) and a Dean of students (2 years) in the Cherry Creek School District, where he also taught Math and Science, and coached football, basketball, and track and field at Eaglecrest High School for over 10 years. He began his teaching career at the elementary level before making the move to middle school. Lawrence graduated from the University of Wyoming, where he was fortunate enough to earn a football scholarship. He considers himself a "semi-native" of Colorado, as he has lived in the state for over 20 years. In his spare time, Lawrence enjoys spending time with his wife, Jen, and their two young sons.
