Education:   I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Studies. I completed my Master's degree in Education through the University of Minnesota.  I furthered my education by earning my Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership through the University of Northern Colorado.

Bio:  I grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin with my parents and three older sisters.  My parents are both retired teachers and two of my sisters are in education as well.  I learned at a very young age the importance of our public education system.  I graduated from Bloomer High School and was lucky enough to earn a scholarship to play football at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.  After graduating from UMD, I received a job in Phoenix, AZ.  I worked in a Title I school for the year, but had to leave for the opportunity to coach at my alma mater and earn my Master's degree.  After finishing up my degree, I moved out to Las Vegas, NV to teach 8th grade social studies.  I worked there for two years before moving to Colorado and beginning my stint at Powell Middle School.  I was a social studies teacher here at Powell for 8 years before entering into my current position.  I love our school, students, community, and staff here at Powell and I could not be more excited to enter into this role and have another wonderful year in LPS.
