After carefully monitoring the forecast for extremely low temperatures in the early morning hours, the decision was made to have a two-hour delayed start for all LPS schools on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The forecasted temperatures improve as the day progresses. / 2 HORAS DE RETRASO EN EL COMIENZO - TODAS LAS ESCUELAS DE LPS. Después de supervisar cuidadosamente el pronóstico de temperaturas extremadamente bajas durante las primeras horas de la mañana, se tomó la decisión de retrasar dos horas el comienzo de todas las escuelas de LPS el martes 21 de enero de 2025. Las temperaturas pronosticadas mejorarán durante el curso del día.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

  • Student drop-off and pick-up should only occur in the pick-up and drop-off loop, accessible from Corona.
    • The pick up and drop off lane is outlined with the blue arrows in the above diagram. 
  • Thank you for not using Corona or any other street for pick-up or drop-off. 
  • Thank you for not using the staff parking lot or the bus loop for pick up or drop off.
  • Please remember to pull forward all the way in the pick up and drop off loop.
  • Please only use the right lane for picking up and dropping off in the loop.
  • Students should exit all vehicles on the right side in the pick-up and drop-off loop.
  • Students should never cross through the pick-up and drop-off loop, as is outlined in the above diagram. 
  • Please help us remind students to only cross streets at the designated cross walks, which are blocked off in yellow in the above diagram.
