The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a national organization.  The purpose of NJHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage citizenship.  Our Powell Chapter of NJHS is for 8th grade students by invitation only based on academics.   After an application process, students who are accepted participate in an induction ceremony to become official members.  Once inducted, students participate in a variety of service projects connected to both Powell and the greater Littleton community during quarters 2, 3 and 4 of the school year with documentations of completed hours submitted each quarter.

Student eligibility requirements starting in the Fall of 2025 are as follows:
(For the 8th grade class of 2025-2026, only 7th grade grades will be used)
