Euclid Middle School’s band program and the jazz band have recently received some significant honors!

The band program was recognized as an “Exemplary Band Program” by the Colorado Bandmasters Association. This prestigious award is given to successful, well-rounded programs and is awarded based on points for multiple categories, including competitive festival ratings in concert and jazz programs, honor band and solo ensemble participation, percentage of enrollment in the program, and state and national convention performance selection.

Euclid’s jazz band was selected to perform at the Colorado Music Educators Association conference in January of 2023! Groups are selected to perform at this conference to provide examples and demonstrations for educators of the high level of music being created in Colorado. The goal is to provide educators across the state a demonstration of reachable or age-appropriate levels of performance. This honor is only provided to one middle school per year, and we need to give a special shout out to the 2021–2022 Euclid Middle School jazz band who submitted a recorded performance for the audition.
