The LPS Special Services Advisory Committee is pleased to announce that we are currently taking nominations for the 2021 Curo Celebration.
Curo is a Latin word which means "to care for or to pay attention to," and is a fitting word to use to honor individuals who have excelled at making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities.
This acknowledgment recognizes dedication, passion, and inspiration. Any LPS community member, staff member, or student is eligible to receive the recognition based on a nomination describing how, through their exceptional devotion to a student with a disability, they have made the student’s life better! In lieu of an in-person celebration, all those being celebrated will be honored through frequent video recognition throughout the spring semester of 2021.
This year, recognitions will be accepted in the form of a short video explaining how the person or team of individuals have made a difference in the life of a student with a disability. Any LPS staff member, community member, or student is able to submit a nomination.
