Facility Use & Planning

In an effort to keep you informed on the latest decisions being made regarding Facility Rentals with Littleton Public Schools, here is the current update:

Our goal is to have students of all ages in school
for in-person learning as much as is safely possible
and allowable by public health department guidance.

We will reevaluate our inside facility rentals and communicate with you again when a decision has been made.

Please do not put any requests for interior space
in rSchoolToday at this time,
as interior rentals have been put on hold. 

Due to current restrictions, our fields are temporarily closed to organized sports.

WE ARE ACCEPTING FIELD RENTALS ON A RESTRICTED BASIS DUE TO THE SAFETY MEASURES RELATED TO COVID-19, REACH OUT VIA EMAIL TO FACILITYUSE[at]LPS.K12.CO[dot]US FOR MORE INFORMATION ON FIELD AVAILABILITY.

Please note that we can cancel a permit at any
time based on COVID-19 prevention, outbreak,
or scheduled school activities.

Rental Process

  1. Register as a client with LPS via rSchoolToday. Your request for registration will be approved once you've submitted all required documents (see "Required Documents" section below). It is preferred that you submit them in PDF form via email to facilityuse[at]lps.k12.co[dot]us, but you can also send them to the following address:

  2. Submit your request (please note: if you are "denied," you will receive an automatic email response from rSchoolToday to notify you. The email will not come from Littleton Public Schools. Please don't forget to check your junk or spam folder in your email in case it was filtered out).
     
  3. Invoices are generated at the beginning of the month for all usage during the prior month. Please remit payment as soon as possible after you receive your invoice. Please include your invoice number and the name of the facility you will be using on your payment.

Required Documents

Please send all documents to our department at the email address listed above (or send them in the mail). You will not be approved as a client in our software until all documents are received.

  • ​All renters will be required to follow CDPHE's latest guidelines for recreational activities. The primary requester for your organization must sign and complete this compliance waiver prior to field usage regarding following the guidelines in order to rent our fields.  The completed form should be scanned and emailed back to the facilityuse[at]lps.k12.co[dot]us address.  
  • A current Certificate of Insurance for your organization naming Littleton Public Schools as “Additional Insured”
  • A signed copy of the General User Agreement
  • If you are an elementary enrichment provider, you must submit the following:
    • A list of instructors and/or employees participating in the program
    • Proof of a criminal background check on all participating employees*
    • Proof of a sex offender registration screening on all participating employees*
  • If applicable...
    • Tax-exempt certificate
  • If you’re using a pool, you must submit the following:
    • Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate
    • American Red Cross Senior Life Saving certificate

 

*Enrichment providers can use LPS Connect to perform required screenings. Please allow 10 business days for screenings done through LPS Connect. There is a $10 per person fee for using the volunteer screening in LPS Connect. Click here for more information for Elementary Enrichment Programs. Screenings will be invoiced to providers using our rSchoolToday facility use system.

Please Note

  • A Littleton Public Schools representative is required to be on-site for the duration of rental occupancy. Rentals outside of scheduled work hours for approved building staff will be charged a custodial fee of $45 per hour. Activities requiring set-up, tear-down, or clean-up will be charged for custodial services before and/or after the event.
  • All of the school activities may not be entered on the public calendar.
  • Do not assume a calendar vacancy represents space availability.
  • Please see the Facility Use Guidelines for additional policies, procedures, fee schedules, and requesting schedules.

 

Payment

  • Payment is due upon receipt of your invoice
  • Payments must be sent to the Operations, Maintenance, and Construction Department at the following address:

  • Please include your invoice number and the name of the facility you used with your payment
  • Cash, checks, and credit cards are acceptable payment

Community Use of District Facilities

Inclement Weather

When schools are closed:

  • All rental activities scheduled in district facilities are canceled
  • Snow removal is not available for nonschool activities
  • School closure information can be found on the LPS Website (alert banner across the top of the page)
