Automotive Technology Students Receive Tool Donation from Local Elks Lodge

The students in the automotive technology program at Arapahoe Community College, which includes students from LPS high schools, recently experienced an extraordinary act of generosity that will significantly impact their future careers. Thanks to a donation from the Englewood Elks Lodge No. 2122, each student received a 297-piece mechanic tool set and and 18-piece screwdriver set–an investment valued at over $600 per student!

This generous gift left students excited, grateful, and even in disbelief. One student, Beau Brogden, summed up the excitement when he exclaimed, “How can this be real?” after learning about the donation.

Mr. McDaniel from the local Elks Lodge, a former high school automotive student himself, spearheaded this initiative. Recognizing that owning tools makes students more employable, he worked diligently to secure funding to ensure every student in the program could benefit–not just a select few.

The impact of this donation extends beyond the tool sets themselves. By equipping students with high-quality tools, the Elks Lodge has helped them gain a crucial advantage as their pursue careers in the automotive industry.

“Words cannot express my excitement and gratitude!” said instructor and program coordinator Bob Parmley. “This was an amazing day for our automotive technology students, and we are incredibly thankful for the Elks Lodge’s support.”

Littleton Public Schools is proud to celebrate this remarkable gift and the positive impact it will have on students’ career pathways. Thank you, Englewood Elks Lodge No. 2122, for investing in our students and their futures!
