Guy Grace Named Volunteer of the Year by NSCA

The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial low-voltage electronic systems industry, has announced their 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award is Guy Grace, Littleton Public Schools Director of Security & Emergency Preparedness. Grace was honored during the 21st annual Business & Leadership Conference, held February 27 - March 1, 2019, in Tampa, Florida.

Grace was instrumental in forming PASS, which developed the Safety and Security Guidelines for K-12 Schools (currently in its fourth iteration.) “Under Guy Grace’s leadership, and with his experiences in school security, the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS) has grown to become a national resource for schools, integrators, architects and other professionals,” said NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson. “Guy has been instrumental in helping create school security guidelines based on a tiered approach that takes individual needs, best practices and available resources into consideration.”

Grace leads a 12-person district security department that manages the LPS security network and monitors and maintains the district’s unified security system. With the safety of LPS students as its number one priority, his team oversees a framework that includes access control systems, video management systems, audio surveillance, duress and mass notification systems.
