LPS teachers kicked off the spring semester January 7, 2019 addressing issues of equity. Dr. Pedro Noguera spent the morning with LPS elementary teachers and the afternoon with LPS middle and high school teachers. He engaged teachers in discussions about equity in education and how the work of professional learning communities can play a powerful role in building equity awareness and forming strategies for student-centered learning.  Dr. Noguera is a leading scholar and distinguished professor at UCLA and coveted keynote speaker in the field of education equity.
