Five students from Arapahoe High School and their advisor attended the Future Business Leaders of America - Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) National Leadership Conference and Competition (High School Division) in Baltimore, MD on June 28 - July 1, 2018. FBLA-PBL is the largest career student business organization in the world, and helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business each year. Leadership development helps members establish essential soft skills by holding chapter officer positions at the local, state, and national levels; while encouraging networking with accomplished business professionals. FBLA-PBL also offers business-focused workshops, seminars, and academic competitions.
Twenty-six students and five advisors from Arapahoe High School, Heritage High School, Littleton High School and Euclid Middle School attended the Technology Student Association (TSA) National Leadership Conference and Competition in Atlanta, GA on June 22 - June 26, 2018. TSA is a national organization of students engaged in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). TSA is supported by educators, parents and business leaders who believe in the need for a technologically literate society. Members learn through exciting competitive events, leadership opportunities and much more.

With over 8,000 students from all over the world in attendance, Arapahoe junior Emma Hopson was appointed to the National Technology Student Association Officer Team as National Treasurer.
Littleton High School had eight students place in the top ten in three different events: 7th place in chapter team, 7th place in music production, and 8th place in photographic technology. Three of the eight students placed in two events. Littleton also had three gold achievement awards and received a National TSA Chapter Excellence award.
Euclid Middle School also had students finish in the top ten in the nation in three different events: Mechanical Engineering, Microcontroller Design, and Structural Engineering.
Mimi Leonard, Littleton Public Schools Coordinator for Career and Technical Education, finished her year as the President of the TSA National Board of Directors and will be the past-president this coming year.
