During the December 15th LPS Board of Education Meeting, Superintendent Ewert and the LPS Board recognized the members of the Safety and Mental Health Advisory Committee for their dedicated and diligent work over the past two years. Community involvement like this is part of what makes Littleton Public Schools such a special place.
Established in November 2014 by the LPS Board, the committee was charged with reviewing and making recommendations regarding all of the programs and services that LPS has in place to keep families safe, as well as to serve children at risk or in crisis. Parents, mental health experts, community members, agency leaders, law enforcement, teachers, students and administrators were represented on this committee. During the December 15th meeting the committee issued its final report to the Board.
