Two LPS Seniors Recipients of Centennial Youth Achievement Awards

Two LPS seniors were recognized with a Centennial Youth Achievement Award on Monday, May 17 by the City of Centennial and SAFEbuilt, which is the City’s building services provider. Each of these students will receive $1,000 scholarships, and they were recognized for making significant contributions to Centennial through leadership and service.

Paige Foa graduated from Arapahoe High School and is planning to attend Colgate University, where she will play soccer and study mathematics. While a student at Arapahoe, she was an officer for DECA, was a member of the National Business Honor Society, participated in the US Soccer Development Academy, and was a varsity athlete for 3 years. She ultimately wants to work in corporate sports marketing.

Emma Lawrence also graduated from Arapahoe High School. She plans to attend Pepperdine University to study sports medicine and ultimately pursue a career in occupational therapy. At Arapahoe, she was in Key Club, Link Crew, National Honor Society, and National Spanish Honor Society. She’s an avid lacrosse player, and has volunteered for several summers at Camp Barnabas, where she worked with kids and adults with special needs.

Submissions for the Centennial Youth Achievement Awards must include an application, short essay responses, and a letter of recommendation from an adult who can speak to the applicant’s character, community involvement, and leadership skills.

Congratulations to Paige and Emma!
