Superintendent Brian Ewert kicked off the 2016-2017 school year by visiting a number of LPS schools on the first day. True to LPS tradition, “Big enough to serve you; small enough to know you,” Ewert makes a point of spending time with students and families throughout the year. Alongside each school’s principal, he offered high fives and lighthearted conversation as students headed into their classrooms.
The night before the first day of school, Superintendent Ewert visited the newly renovated Runyon Elementary School as students and parents filtered in and out for a back to school event. The next morning, Ewert visited Centennial Academy, Wilder Elementary School, Newton Middle School and the Littleton Public Schools Voyager Program at Arapahoe Community College. In the days following, Ewert spent his mornings at Littleton Academy and Littleton Preparatory Charter School greeting students and parents on their first days, as well.
Noting the high energy and excitement that always goes along with the beginning of the school year, Ewert was glad to get to share that time with students and parents. Off and running, the 2016-2017 school year is set to be a great one!
