Dear LPS Parents:
The Littleton Public Schools Long-Range Planning Committee is currently studying a potential change to school start and end times in an effort to better align LPS with research. This research shows a later school start time positively impacts teenagers’ alertness, mental health, wellness and behavior in high school and middle school, which means students are better prepared to learn.
You are invited to attend the committee’s upcoming meeting, at which time members will hear a presentation from Lisa J. Meltzer, PhD. regarding this research.
Dr. Meltzer is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at National Jewish Health. Her presentation will take place:
Monday, August 14, 2017
4:30 p.m.
Education Services Center
5776 South Crocker Street
Littleton, CO 80120
We look forward to welcoming your children back to school Thursday, August 17th!
