Littleton Public Schools welcomes the Class of 2029!
All Littleton Public Schools elementary schools will be hosting kindergarten registration for the 2016-2017 school year on Monday, February 1, and Tuesday, February 2, 2016 during regular school hours.
LPS prides itself on offering kindergarten programs that are child-centered and meet the needs of the whole child. Children receive a balanced program to meet their individual needs for cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. The goal is to start the youngest learners on the road to a lifetime of success through a love of learning.
All kindergarten programs are located in elementary schools and are very much a part of the school culture. Out-of-district students are welcome!
Because Littleton Public Schools believes strongly in the importance of early childhood education, LPS elementary schools offer half-day programs as well as a variety of full-day kindergarten options. Some full-day programs are tuition-based and some are free, funded through state and federal monies. In addition, all LPS elementary schools offer tuition-based before-and after-school childcare.
Littleton Public Schools offers two district preschool sites. The Village Early Childhood Education programs are located at Ames and North. The Village programs accept children ages 3 and 4. Three-hour morning and afternoon classes are available with limited all-day options. The district Child Find Team provides assessments and arranges for services for children with special education needs. A dedicated and caring staff provides individual learning plans and a social-emotional development program, “Dinosaur School”.
Additionally, preschool options are available at Highland, Hopkins, Ralph Moody, Peabody and Wilder elementary schools.
Visit the Preschool & Kindergarten Options page for additional information and to pre-register your kindergartner or preschooler any time before February 1, 2016.
