On September 21, LPS was featured by Flintco Construction in a podcast on the issue of “Achieving Better Student Mental Health Through Nutrition.” Jon Widmier, coordinator of social emotional and behavior services, Terry Davis, chief operations officer, and Jessica Gould, director of nutrition services, served on a panel where they described how the improvements to school kitchens, made possible through the voter-approved 2018 bond program, have helped LPS provide nutritious food to students, which in turn stimulates learning and improves mental health.
