Guy Grace, the LPS Director of Security and Emergency Planning, has been selected to join 14 other school, university and healthcare protection professionals from around the nation as a finalist in the Campus Safety Director of the Year awards program. The Director of the Year winners and runners-up will be announced this summer at the Campus Safety Conference East, being held in Bethesda, Maryland, July 12-14.
Grace is nationally recognized as a school safety expert and leads a 12-person district security department that manages the LPS security network and monitors and maintains the district’s unified security system. With the safety of LPS students as its number one priority, his team oversees a framework that includes access control systems, video management systems, audio surveillance, duress and mass notification systems. Under Grace’s guidance, Littleton Public Schools is consistently ranked as one of the best school districts in the country by Security Magazine for safety and security protocols.
