CTE Team Has Donated 33 Intubation Boxes, Connecting with Hospitals Locally and Internationally

To date, CTE teachers Marc Finer (Newton Middle School), David McMullen (Arapahoe High School) and Kent Allison (former Heritage High School and current Mountain Vista High School) have built 33 Intubation Extubation Containment Boxes and connected with 13 hospitals and one US Army base in Germany! They plan to continue producing boxes as long as donations continue and hospitals are in need.

Recently, the teachers received a donation in the mail from a woman who saw the CBS 4 Denver story on the evening news. Along with her donation she wrote a touching note asking how much additional money she would need to donate to have an Intubation box sent to a hospital in Loveland, CO where her daughter works. Dr. David Avner – who has been working with teachers Finer, McMullen and Allison – was able to make contact with the staff at this hospital. With no extra donation necessary, Dr. Avner arranged for two boxes to be sent to the hospital where the woman’s daughter works, as well as another two boxes to be sent to a sister hospital in Ft. Collins. The support of the community – and the desire to protect those around us – has helped to make this mission so impactful.
