Over the weekend, CBS4 Denver highlighted three area teachers - Marc Finer of Newton Middle School, David McMullen of Arapahoe High School and Kent Allison of Mountain Vista High School (previously at Heritage High School) - who are building intubation boxes to help protect healthcare workers who are treating COVID-19 patients. Due to the rush of air that is expelled from a COVID-19 patient’s lungs during an intubation, this is a very dangerous time for the ER staff. The box help to prevent these frontline healthcare providers from contracting the virus. Their goal is to donate intubation boxes to any hospital in Colorado who wants them.
