The Student Spotlight segment of each Board meeting celebrates a student or a group of students who are living out the Portrait of an LPS Graduate, which highlights the life skills each LPS graduate should have. Tomorrow’s workers will succeed by constantly adapting to the changing world around them, and today’s students must begin by learning and developing life skills - where every student should be well-adjusted, thriving, and balanced.
Additionally, students will develop skills in:
LPS strives to implement opportunities to grow these skills at every level of education and recognize students of all ages. At their regularly scheduled meeting on May 21, 2025, the Board recognized students from Littleton Preparatory Charter School.
Adriana Rodriguez joined Littleton Prep as a fifth grader. She was extraordinarily brave, starting at a new school in a new country, with no prior experience speaking English. Adriana had no choice but to become fully immersed in a new language; however, she made exceptional efforts to fully engage with the community, a testament to her RESILIENCY and ADAPTABILITY. She worked hard to adapt to classes and was committed not only to being ACADEMICALLY SUCCESSFUL but also to pushing herself to go above and beyond, participating in multiple expanded classes and earning high school credit in math and Spanish. She joined athletic and academic teams, including science Olympiad, volleyball, cheerleading, and soccer. She is a strong leader in the school as a student assistant, member of Allies in Diversity, Student Council, and National Junior Honor Society. At graduation, Adriana will be the recipient of honor cords for academic excellence, leadership, conduct, and athletics. Clearly, she is WELL ADJUSTED, THRIVING, and BALANCED. Adriana will be attending Heritage High School in the fall.
Dane Diller joined Littleton Prep in seventh grade. He immediately made a place for himself, becoming known for his witty personality, sense of humor, and contagious good mood. He is a bright and committed student who has taken on the challenges of expanded classes, and earned high school credit for math and Spanish, a testament to his RIGOROUS and RELEVANT ACADEMIC SKILLS. Dane competed in the Math Olympiad this year, and was awarded recognition for a top 25 percent score in the nation. He is also an excellent athlete, a member of the wrestling club, and a member of the volleyball and basketball teams. Dane is an exceptionally ambitious musician and a member of the LPCS band and orchestra, capable of playing trumpet, flute, violin, clarinet, and piano. At graduation, Dane will be the recipient of honor cords for academic excellence, conduct, athletics, and arts and music. Dane will be attending Conifer High School in the fall.
Tabitha Miscall joined Littleton Prep in fourth grade. She is a natural-born leader who has utilized her skills, joining the student council, serving as a student assistant and member and current president of our school’s National Junior Honor Society chapter. Tabitha is an outstanding student, taking on the challenge of expanded classes, participating in two state competitions for the Science Olympiad, and earning high school credit in math and Spanish, all reflecting her RIGOROUS and RELEVANT ACADEMIC SKILLS. When she was in seventh grade, she placed first in the state for e-CYBERMISSION, a virtual STEM competition for sixth through ninth graders, and she earned recognition again in eighth grade. Tabitha is a talented athlete who plays for our school's basketball and volleyball teams, manages the boys' volleyball team, and, outside of school, is a state finalist in swimming and an aspiring water polo player. She is also a talented musician who played viola in the school orchestra and is now singing in the school choir. Tabitha is full of CHARACTER, school spirit, helps anyone in need, and has been an outstanding role model for Littleton Prep’s younger students. At graduation, she will be the recipient of honor cords for academic excellence, conduct, athletics, leadership, and arts and music. Tabitha will be attending Littleton High School in the fall.
