Delay/Closure ProceduresOn Tuesday, October 29, the Education Services Center buzzed with energy as Littleton Public Schools welcomed staff and community members for a Wellness Expo & Classified Job Fair. With 60 attendees exploring the event, it was a perfect opportunity to learn more about employee health and wellness as well as career opportunities within the district.
The event saw 44 attendees engaging with the Wellness Expo, 11 attendees exploring new career paths, and 5 attendees taking advantage of both offerings. 7 job applications were submitted, and so far, this has resulted in 2 new hires for LPS! Representatives from several key departments–Security, Transportation, Operations, Paraprofessionals, Nutrition Services, School Aged Child Care (SACC), were there along with members of Classified Employees’ Advisory Council (CEAC) and ESS (the district’s substitute management partner). These organizations were excited to partner with and interview potential candidates.
The Wellness Expo also featured a variety of vendors, including Title Boxing, CycleBar, Cigna and Kaiser Wellness, and Vasa Fitness. Attendees enjoyed giveaways such as free fitness memberships, electrolyte drinks, as well as small goodies like keychains and notebooks. LPS continues to be grateful for partnerships with organizations like these who showcased their ongoing commitment to supporting district employees.
The event highlighted many of the benefits of working for LPS while strengthening ties with local businesses, plus it was high-energy and a lot of fun!
Special thanks to the human resources department for their organization and to all participants who attended! Congratulations to our newest employees!
