Colorado Department of Education CMAS Assessment Data & Results
Implemented by Littleton Public Schools, the Colorado Academic Standards(CAS) are the expectations for what students need to learn and be able to demonstrate at the end of each grade. Our teachers design their curriculum and lesson plans to meet the learning expectations outlined in the standards. The standards reflect the critical content, along with the critical-thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills that students need to be truly prepared for success after high school.
Students across Colorado are taking the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) assessments in English Language Arts, math, social studies and science to measure knowledge of the Colorado Academic Standards.
The results of these assessments will help us meet the individual needs of students and help us evaluate instructional programming and curriculum implementation. We welcome these results as an additional piece of the body of evidence we use in conjunction with national, district, building, and classroom assessments which support our working toward continuous improvement in the area of student achievement for each of our students.
