Eligible employees may elect to participate in the voluntary Vision Service Plan at their own expense. The District does not contribute toward this plan. Employees may select from three levels of vision coverage: employee only, employee plus one, or family coverage.
You must complete the enrollment online, indicating your election, in order to be enrolled in this plan. If you do not enroll upon hire, your next opportunity to enroll will be during an open enrollment period unless you have a change in family/employment status. You can enroll dependents only if you enroll yourself. You and/or dependents do not need to be enrolled in health, dental, or life insurance group plans to be enrolled in the vision plan. TruHearing Hearing Aid discount Program is a VSP excclusive member extra.
Like vision loss, hearing loss can have a huge impact on productivity and overall quality of life. Unfortunately, of the over 38 million people who need hearing aids, only one in five has them. And the high cost of hearing aids is a major factor keeping people from addressing their hearing loss.
Best of all, if your organization already offers a hearing aid benefit, members can combine it with TruHearing prices to reduce their out-of-pocket expense even more!
