    The LPS Community is invited to an evening of discussion and learning around what it means to be a parent in the 21st century.  This free, annual event is on April 24th, at the Ames Facility, from 6:30-8:30pm.  Ames is located at 7300 South Clermont Drive, Centennial, CO 80122   Topics include: Helping Your Child Make Positive Cyber Choices How to leverage parental controls on a variety of platforms Student Perspectives Schedule: 6:30 – 6:45 Welcome and Overview 6:50 – 7:20 Session 1 7:25 – 7:55 Session 2 8:00 – 8:30 Session 3 Each workshop will be repeated for all sessions. There will also be an area for Tech Support & Resources available throughout the evening. Facilitated by LPS Educators, The Littleton Foundation, and Cyber-Smart Students.   • Government Shutdown: Eligibility for free or reduced price meals

    If your family is affected by the government shutdown, you may be eligible for free or reduced price meals. Follow this link to apply today. During a temporary lay-off or federal furlough without pay, families can apply for free or reduced price school meal benefits using current income information. Even temporary reductions in income can qualify a family for benefits. Applications must include all other household income and be completed according to requirements.   • Early Access to Kindergarten and 1st Grade

    Online applications for Early Access to kindergarten or 1st grade for the 2019-20 school year are now being accepted. The deadline for applications is April 1st, 2019. No applications will be accepted after that date.  Early Access Application 

  • Kindergarten Registration - January 28 & 29

    Kindergarten registration will be held at each elementary school on January 28 and 29, 2019. You can register your kindergartner by completing an online pre-registration form and visiting your local school. HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD FOR KINDERGARTEN? Step One: Students New to LPS — Visit to preregister your kindergartner online any time before January 28th. Existing LPS Families — Contact your kindergartner’s school to set up an account for your kindergartner in your existing Family Portal account in Infinite Campus any time before January 28th. Step Two: Attend an upcoming Kindergarten Information Session at your elementary school before January 28th. Check the district website or your school’s website for dates and times. Step Three: Attend the Kindergarten Registration Event at your elementary school in January. After February 1st, Kindergarten Registration will take place at the Education Services Center, 5776 S. Crocker St., Littleton, CO 80120. What do I need to bring with me? When you register your child at either your school or the Education Services Center, please bring the following items for your child: A printed copy of your online pre-registration, which you completed and printed at home Birth certificate Immunization records Proof of residency (house contract, deed, utility bill or lease agreement) Emergency contact information Parent Identification, i.e. driver’s license Do I have to live in the Littleton Public Schools district or in the neighborhood of my school of choice? No. LPS welcomes out-of-district students and we work with families to accommodate in-district optional enrollment whenever possible.   • Change to King Soopers Community Rewards Program

    Happy Spring!  Change is in the air!  King Soopers is improving their Community Rewards program. Now it’s easier for you to support Powell Middle School by just shopping at King Soopers!  All you need to do is register your King Soopers card and Powell will receive 5% of everything you spend at King Soopers. Last year you all helped Powell raise over $8000!!!  NO MORE remembering to reload your gift card!  Now it’s easier for everyone in your family to help support Powell!   Directions on how to register: Go to Sign into your account.  New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a rewards card.  Once logged into your King Soopers account look for the Community Rewards link on the left side of the screen, click on it and search for Powell Middle School PTO either by name or XB734.  Then click Enroll.   REMEMBER, purchases will not count for Powell until after you register your rewards card. Please swipe your registered King Soopers rewards card or use the phone number that is related to your registered King Soopers rewards card when shopping for each purchase to count.
