Art

The Visual Arts Department at Arapahoe High School offers a wide range of art courses, from introductory to advanced levels, aimed at inspiring creativity and developing artistic skills.

Our introductory courses include Drawing, Acrylic Painting, Watercolor Painting, Design, Innovative Art, Photography, Digital Art and Design, Jewelry, and Ceramics.

For those looking to advance their skills, we offer advanced courses such as Ceramics 2, Advanced Jewelry, and AP Studio Art. Independent study options are also available for students who wish to explore a particular course in greater depth.

Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to showcase their artwork in school art shows, district-wide exhibitions, and state-level competitions. Additionally, the AHS Art Club meets once a week, providing a welcoming environment for students to create art outside of class and connect with fellow artists.
