The Littleton High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team received two awards for the 2017-2018 academic year from the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) - the Team Academics Award and the Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award.
The Team Academic Award is awarded to teams with a composite grade point average of at least 3.25. The LHS Girls’ Soccer program, with a combined GPA of 4.16, is one of only seven schools in Colorado to receive this honor, and this is the 20th straight year the program has received this award (no other team in the nation has won 20 consecutive times). For some perspective, this award streak started before any of the Lions’ current players were born.
The Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior, and adherence to the laws of the game. The LHS Girls’ Soccer program received the Gold Award in this category. The Lions compete in the 4A Jeffco League and advanced to the Elite Eight of the 4A State Championship last season. Congratulations Lions!
