Three LPS High Schoolers Awarded Scholarships to HOBY Leadership Seminar

Every year, the Optimist Club of Littleton provides a full tuition scholarship for a student from each comprehensive LPS high school–Arapahoe, Heritage, and Littleton–to attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar.

The three students selected to attend in 2022 were honored for their work at a special Optimist Club celebration on February 3. Addison Roswech (Arapahoe High School), Luke Riegel (Heritage High School), and Anika Bagal (Littleton High School) were the three scholarship recipients.

The HOBY Leadership Seminar is for high school sophomores to “explore their leadership potential through…inspiring leadership development programs. State Leadership Seminars are three-to-four day residential programs, typically held on a college or university campus…[They] allow students to discover leadership from a personal, group and socially responsible perspective.”

Congratulations to Addison, Luke, and Anika! LPS looks forward to what you will accomplish with your leadership skills!
