Members of the Optimist Club of Littleton gathered at Newton Middle School early the morning of Friday, May 6, 2022, to present its 2022 Youth Appreciation Awards to five outstanding eighth graders, who were selected by the teachers and administrators where they attend school. Optimist Club members thanked the students for their efforts and contributions in making our society a better place in which to live. They also thanked parents, families and teachers of these students for their various, essential roles in helping them be successful. Awards were given to Lilly Duran (Powell Middle School), Riley Gray (Newton Middle School), Alexandra Hammond (Euclid Middle School), Josh Merrill (Options Middle School), and Sofia Schmidt (Goddard Middle School). Congratulations to Lilly, Riley, Alexandra, Josh, and Sofia, and thank you for your hard work and positive contribution to LPS!
