Sign language club is a place for students to learn the basics of American Sign Language (ASL). The topics covered may include: sign systems, deaf culture, ABC's, 123's, finger spelling, key phrases, vocabulary (days of the week, school, home, activities, toys, games, food, animals, transportation, etc.), classifiers, facial expression, getting attention, meeting others, name signs, asking for repetition, asking 'wh' questions (who, what, where, when, why), yes/no questions, and describing things. Come with an open mind and start to learn a new language!
