HHS Football Team Wins Off-Season Competitions

The Heritage High School football team looks strong as they head into the 2015 season, with wins at recent tournaments. Training long hours in the summer heat, Eagles players are seeing their hard work pay off.

On July 10th, Heritage hosted the 2015 Hog Olympics, where linemen from high schools throughout the Denver Metro Area went head to head in strength and endurance challenges. The linemen, known on the field as “hogs,” participated in events including the 185-pound bench press, tug-a-war, tire toss, truck-push, dummy carry and others. A team from Heritage won the competition by 21 points.

The following day, Heritage football players won the Select 7 on 7 Championship in Longmont. The Eagles were undefeated throughout pool-play and the double-elimination bracket. The tournament also qualified the team for entry into the national tournament in Hoover, Alabama. Additionally, Heritage’s Tim Pless was named the tournament’s Offensive MVP.

Congratulations to the Heritage High School football team on their off-season accomplishments!
