Penny Potts, a fifth grade teacher at Franklin Elementary School, has been selected as one of 13 leaders in education to be part of the first ever Innovative Education Colorado (InnEdCO) Ambassador cohort. “InnEdCO Ambassadors are passionate, innovative, life-long learners that believe, embody, and exemplify the InnEdCO mission and vision daily in their Colorado learning environments” (https://www.innedco.org/ambassadors/).

Being part of this ambassador cohort will enable Mrs. Potts’ innovative and engaging teaching strategies to be shared more widely with other educators in Colorado, as she will be able to share blog posts and other ideas through InnEdCO’s social media platforms and website. It will facilitate networking with other innovative educators across the state, who will continue to enrich Mrs. Potts’ instruction, and, according to Brandon Petersen, InnEdCO’s Board Vice President, “They’ll collaborate with our Board, help plan special events for our annual summer conference, present sessions, and collaborate throughout the year in a think tank to help provide ideas of leading educational strategies to our stakeholders via social media!”
