The Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB) has designated the month of January as “School Board Appreciation Month.” In honor of School Board Appreciation Month, Littleton Public Schools would like to thank LPS Board members Carrie Warren-Gully, Kelly Perez, Robert Reichardt, Jack Reutzel, and Lindley McCrary for their dedicated service and devotion to always putting students first and helping make Littleton Public Schools the award-winning and community-oriented district that it is. Though Carrie has resigned her position on the Board, we nevertheless want to include her in our appreciation for the Board’s work over the past year.
In order to serve the LPS community, Board members spend time away from their own families. They serve as a result of their passion for education and for each child’s welfare. They check egos at the door and focus their work on what is best for students and the LPS community. Through their tireless advocacy for resources necessary to continue improving student learning, they lead Littleton Public Schools along the path to success. They are willing to grapple with complicated issues and set a positive example through their leadership at the local and state levels. This has been especially challenging over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. LPS is grateful to have a Board with such integrity and courage.
Thank you again for all you do for the LPS community!
