School officials from Franklin, Indiana visited Littleton Public Schools in 2018 looking for ways to improve the mental health and safety features of their Center Grove Schools. Of particular interest to the Indiana administrators was the Comprehensive School Climate Inventory (CSCI) survey that Littleton parents, students and teachers had completed in 2018. The survey helped LPS gather valuable information about how students, staff and parents view their school’s climate. The survey also helped LPS identify areas that are working well and areas for improvement.
Impressed with LPS’ outcomes and recognizing similarities between the two districts, the Center Grove Schools will be conducting a similar Climate Survey this month seeking feedback from parents and students in their district. Bill Long, assistant superintendent of operations at Center Grove schools said, “I think we will find out some really good things about the schools and find things that will make us a little better.”
