Heritage High School’s Ethan Perry has been awarded a Boettcher Scholarship, providing him full tuition, fees, a book allowance and an annual stipend for living expenses to attend the Colorado school of his choice. Ethan will be going to Colorado School of Mines next year on the four-year scholarship that covers virtually all of his school expenses.

The Boettcher Scholarship was established in 1952, and it includes programming and support to ensure that students reach their full leadership potential. Scholars are selected based on academics, service, leadership and character, and the Boettcher Scholar network includes more than 2,500 leaders who have gone on to make their marks in business, government, nonprofits, academia and other endeavors.

“Our 42 Boettcher Scholars in 2019 stood out from a highly competitive pool of nearly 1,500 qualified applicants,” said Tiffany Anderson, the foundation’s director of programs. “This year’s class includes an entrepreneur who launched a dessert-focused catering business, a 13-year dancer in Aspen Santa Fe Ballet’s Folklórico group, a student who completed the Junior Firefighter Academy and was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician along with state leaders for FBLA, DECA and Key Club. We’re confident that this year’s class represents the values the Boettcher family sought to encourage.”
