Research shows that effective educators are the most important factor contributing to student achievement. The implementation of the Littleton Educator Evaluation System should be understood as a process rather than a single event. While it is true that the evaluation process will result in annual ratings for every teacher, principal, assistant principal and specialized service professional, gathering evidence about performance and providing feedback to enable educators to improve should occur on an ongoing basis and be integrated into the daily business of teaching and learning. The Littleton Educator Evaluation System evaluates the performance levels for educators by using the adopted State Model of Evaluation.
