State Grant Means New Materials for LPS Libraries

Littleton Public Schools is pleased to announce it has received a grant in the amount of $5,829 from the Colorado State Library through the State Grants to Libraries Act. Each of the district’s participating libraries received an average of $306 to purchase books and digital content. Centennial, East, Field, Franklin, Highland, Hopkins, Lenski, Moody, Peabody, Runyon, Sandburg, Wilder, Euclid, Newton, Powell, Arapahoe, Heritage and Littleton have new print, eBooks and/or audio books to add to their collections.

The State Grants to Libraries was funded by the Colorado Legislature to help increase access to early literacy and educational materials. This non-competitive program administered by the Colorado State Library funded a combined total of 315 public libraries, academic libraries, and school districts this 2015-2016 fiscal year.
