Congratulations to the world language students from Powell Middle School who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2014 National Spanish Examinations. Students from Powell earned a total of two gold, two silver and nine bronze medals along with 30 honorable mentions. With more than 154,000 participants in the 2014 exams, these medals and honorable mentions are a tremendous success.

The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
