Littleton Public Schools’ Chief Information Officer, Mark Lindstone, was the recent recipient of a CALET Outstanding Technology Administrator Award. The award honors individuals who have made an outstanding professional contribution to the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) and its affiliate, the Colorado Association of Leaders in Educational Technology (CALET).
Dr. Dan Maas, Chief Operations Officer for the Thompson School District, said, "Mark Lindstone has served as an outstanding technology administrator in Colorado public education for over 30 years. He has been the chief information officer in two districts (Aurora Public Schools and Littleton Public Schools) and in both districts, he successfully moved schools forward with large network upgrades, successful bond elections and navigated difficult budget cuts."
"Mark is a respected leader and is always focused on what is best for students and LPS as a whole," said Scott Murphy, former Superintendent of Littleton Public Schools. "He supervised the adoption and deployment of over 4,000 Chromebooks, the largest in Colorado. He is a true leader and visionary."
Since joining Littleton Public Schools in 2007 Lindstone has continued the district’s tradition as a leader in educational technology. Under his direction, LPS recently began unrolling a Middle School 1:1 Program, has expanded bandwidth throughout the district and continues to find new ways to keep LPS technologically progressive.
CALET provides professional development opportunities for educational technologists. Members influence decision-making in educational technology, including policy and funding, at the local, state and national levels. CALET shares expertise with educational leaders, recognizes quality work and excellence in the field of educational technology, and provides networking opportunities with other educational leaders and groups for whom educational technology is a priority.
