Kathleen Ambron, LPS director of elementary education, recently received the 2016 Champion of Children Award at the SungateKids annual gala. The award recognized Ambron for her hard work and dedication, and for making the LPS community a better and safer place for children.

Opened in November 1995, SungateKids is a nonprofit agency that offers an array of services to people living in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District. Their nationally recognized forensic interviewing team helps children, who have been referred to them by law enforcement or human services, safely reveal the truth about a crime. SungateKids does not charge for its services.
