LPS Board of Education has scheduled special meeting May 2 to hear public comment

The Littleton Public Schools Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting for May 2, 2019 in order to hear public comment regarding the leadership, climate, and culture of Arapahoe High School. It is an opportunity for the Board to listen, understand, and ask clarifying questions. There are no other agenda items. The Board will not take any action nor have any formal discussion on this or any other topic during this special meeting. May 2 is the earliest date the entire Board of Education could attend a special meeting.

Anyone wishing to make a formal presentation to the Board will have up to 15 minutes to do so and may use an audio/visual presentation. Formal presentations must be provided to the Board of Education by noon Wednesday, May 1, 2019, either electronically to mstevens[at]lps.k12.co[dot]us, or on a thumb drive to the Education Services Center, 5776 S. Crocker Street, Littleton, CO 80120. Presentations will be preloaded on the audio/visual equipment in the Arapahoe High School Theater prior to the special meeting.

Those wishing to address the Board (without a formal presentation) may sign up to do so that night at the special meeting and will be provided the customary three minutes.

Following the meeting, the Board will consider possible next steps and currently plans to have formal discussion on this topic during its regularly scheduled Board meeting Thursday, May 9, 2019.
