The Littleton High School STEM Certificate Program awarded its first three certificates last week. Seniors Daniel Cooke, Wyatt Goddard and Dakota Wilkins completed the requirements to earn a Purple STEM Certificate, which was presented to them at Senior Convocation on May 19th and was officially recognized at graduation. All three students plan to begin college studies in various STEM fields next fall. Congratulations to these students, who piloted the program's online portfolio, completed STEM electives, documented extra-curricular participation and met program requirements for GPA.
STEM is an acronym referring to the academic disciplines of science, technology, engineering and math. Littleton High School and the University of Colorado Denver work together to offer automatic undergraduate admission to the UCD School of Engineering and Applied Science for students who earn a Purple or Gold Certificate.
Students who complete the requirements also receive special designation on their transcript and special recognition at Littleton High School’s graduation.
