Community Gives LPS High Marks, According to Recent Survey

Approximately every two years, LPS conducts a survey of its community (parents and non-parents of all ages within LPS boundaries) to help the district determine the focus for the future in many areas of the organization.  Such a survey was conducted this past June; here are highlights of the results:

  • Three-quarters gave LPS a grade of “A” or “B”, which is similar to grades given over the past decade
  • 80% are confident in LPS’ handling of taxpayer money
  • 91% say LPS has high academic expectations for all students
  • 82% say LPS supports teachers and staff
  • 84% say LPS communicates accurately and clearly with the community
  • 88% would recommend LPS to a parent seeking a school for their child
