4-Year-Old Starts Giving Campaign, Inspires Others To Pay It Forward (CBS4)

In a recent Together 4 Colorado story, CBS4 featured a giving campaign – inspired by a 4 year-old – that helps students to pay for school lunch. There are many families who struggle to afford school lunches, yet do not qualify for free and reduced price meals. Check out the heartwarming story!

Want to make a difference for the students in the Littleton community? Donate to the LPS Nutrition Services Lunch Fund!

LPS Nutrition Services serves more than 5,000 meals a day. Many of our students’ families struggle to pay for lunches, but may not qualify for free and reduced priced meals. As a district, we are committed to ensuring that all of our students receive a nutritious lunch every day to help them stay healthy and focused. Money donated to the LPS Lunch Fund will help pay off outstanding balances on students’ lunch accounts and allow Nutrition Services to continue to feed all students, every day.

If you would like to donate, please contact Debbie Smith: dcsmith[at]lps.k12.co[dot]us or 303-347-3360. Thank you for your generous support of our students!

We also currently accept donations at our school sites and central office. All donations ultimately filter to our central office. We distribute donations to all negative balance accounts 2x per year. Next year, we plan to do this quarterly. Donations can be as big or as small as an individual would like. They can be received in the form of cash, check or online payment if they are a family within LPS and have an account within the meal program.
