The Sandburg Elementary fourth grade class of Tammy Walter called "Game On" when Colorado Avalanche players Tyson Jost and JT Compher came to their school October 9 as part of the Future Goals Hockey Scholar Program. Ms. Walter teaches an EVERFI financial literacy program and her class was selected for the visit through that participation. 

The Avs brought an inflatable street hockey rink and shooting target to the school playground (each student also received a street hockey stick and ball) so the students could get pointers from the pros. After lots of autographs and pictures, the players talked with the students about the Hockey Scholar Program and the importance of school work.
