Middle and High School Choices

The Middle School Experience
Littleton Public Schools has four middle schools: EuclidGoddardNewton and Powell. While each has its own personality, all four offer the guaranteed, rigorous LPS middle school curriculum. Middle school in LPS is unique. It is an opportunity for students to grow academically, emotionally, developmentally and socially. It is a time to try new things, explore new interests and broaden their world as 21st Century learners.

Opportunities for middle school students grow as the students grow. Students in each grade level are placed in grade-specific CORE groups, which create smaller communities within each school. In their CORE, students learn math, science, social studies and language arts. Each year, the number of electives students may choose to take increases as they progress from 6th grade to 8th grade.

Growth, Opportunity & FlexibilityHappy Middle School girls - STEM
Middle School is a time of great change for students. They seem to grow inches overnight and they begin to develop a sense of independence. It's a time of great change for parents, too. They watch their children enter middle school with much of the same structure as they experienced in elementary school. Three years later, they leave middle school ready to transition into the busy world of high school. No one understands these changes and provides the appropriate support better than our four middle schools. The flexibility and choices offered in middle school grow as students mature.

Keeping Things in Perspective
The transition to middle school is an exciting time! Our middle school principals, who have decades of experience among them, remind us of what really matters...

For Kids: Having a locker! Figuring out the lunch line...finding their friends and making new ones, too...having nice teachers...not missing the bus...and feeling safe.

For Parents: Making sure students feel safe...being sure that someone knows and cares about their child...making sure their child's individual needs are being met.

Our caring teachers, principals and staff members understand what's important and make students and their parents feel at ease!
