For the past two years, Littleton Public Schools has been participating in the Social Worlds and Youth Well-Being Study (SWYWS). Led by Dr. Anna Mueller of Indiana University, the research team is studying how social environments shape youth wellbeing and resilience and identifying new strategies for improving youth mental health and preventing suicide in schools and communities.  This research has included many hours of observations in LPS high schools, hundreds of interviews and focus groups with students, staff, parents, and community members, formal surveys of parents and staff and study of LPS policies, protocols, and training. This is an opportunity for the community to hear the initial research findings and recommendations and to ask questions of Dr. Mueller and the research team.
